Avoiding Shock Forces with Precision ball bearings
Bearings are very delicate when it comes to transitioning, fixing or cleaning them. They can easily wear-off and stop functioning depending on the amount of shock force it gets. Sometimes, it is also the size of the bearings that affect the bearings. It may completely break the shields of the bearings allowing contamination to get inside the bearings or it can even get misaligned too.
For example, a shock force from a 100-gram weight at 4 mm away can cause severe brinelling.
Brinelling of the bearing can be caused due to several factors, it rigorously affects its working. The brinelled bearing makes loud acoustic sounds. Bearings are also affected even by the smallest actions like falling off. In some cases, it has been found that brinelling can also occur when bearings are automatically press-fitted to a rotor shaft. This occurrence happens when a shaft and the bearing are not kept accurately in line.
Hence, bearings need to be given utmost care while handling them whether you are trying to put them on or off the frames. Precision bearings are the highest precision ball bearings and require a good care and handling.
